Aljunied GRC MP and former Workers’ Party Secretary-General Mr Low Thia Khiang suffered a head injury from a fall at home on 30 April 2020.
This was announced by the party on Sunday afternoon on its Facebook page and a statement posted on its party website.
According to the party, Mr Low, 63, is being monitored in the Intensive Care Unit and is currently conscious.
His family has requested for privacy so he can focus on his recuperation.
In Mr Low’s absence from work, the Workers’ Party Aljunied GRC MPs will cover his constituency duties, assisted by former Non-Constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) Gerald Giam.
