The Singapore Democratic Party is launching their Cost of Living Policy this weekend on 16 March. This initiative was announced at their Campaign Kick-Off last month.

Cost of living is a major concern for Singaporeans and the country is already one of the most expensive cities to live in. As such, the SDP is proposing to lower the cost of living to ease the financial burden on Singaporeans from all walks of life.

This is the first of a series of policies that the SDP will launch and update in the coming months. The policy launches will, says the Party, culminate in the publication of a landmark manifesto that will comprise a detailed and comprehensive proposal of alternative ideas in key sectors sectors such as education, housing, population growth, healthcare, the economy, the Malay community, ministerial salaries, and town council planning.

With this, the SDP aims to paint an alternative vision for Singapore that is compassionate, inclusive and sustainable.

The launch is opened to the public.
