一家物流公司为外籍员工申请就业准证(EP,即Employment Pass),却谎称已先面试了两名本地人,结果面控。

物流公司(Ti2 Logistics),是在去年7月26日,为外籍员工周建新(Zhou Jianxin译音),向人力部申请就业准证。该公司聘请后者为业务发展经理。

该公司在申请时,谎称已面试了两名本地人,并公平考虑他们是否能够胜任。

若该公司被判罪成,在雇用外来人力法令下,将面对监禁两年,或最高2万元罚款,或两者兼施。

过去有雇主谎报客工工资,以取得就业准证

事实上在去年1月,亦有一家餐饮公司GD集团,涉欺瞒人力资源部,虚报多达20名客工的工资,以符合申请就业准证(Employment Pass)的要求。

结果该集团面对20项抵触雇佣外来人力法令的控状,被法庭罚款9万4500元。

人力部在2014年,在公平考量框架下架设职业库,乃是为了强制企业在聘请外籍人士前,优先从本地人中物色人选。

在本月1日,人力部长杨莉明也声称政府将更新公平考量框架,对歧视国人的雇主采取更多的行动。
