Five SBS Transit bus services – 70M, 111, 133, 162M and 502 – serving the Suntec area will be affected by road closures for the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, announced SBS Transit in a press release on Monday (12 November).

The authority stated that these buses will skip these three bus stops from 12 to 16 November:

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) stated last week that there would be road blocks and stringent security checks in the area to ensure the security of the summit.

The authorities had declared an area bounded by Bencoolen Street, Beach Road, Nicoll Highway, Fullerton Road and Victoria Street, among others, as an Enhanced Security Special Event Area from Tuesday to Thursday.

They noted that leaders from 10 South-east Asian countries, along with counterparts from China, the United States, Japan and Russia, will be participating in the summit.
