The Istana Grounds will open to the public on Wednesday, 6 July, from 8.30 am to 6 pm in celebration of Hari Raya Puasa, the President’s Office announced in a press release on Friday (1 July).

However, the Istana Lawn, which is still under renovation until the end of the year, will remain closed and will not be part of this event.

Members of the public can look forward to highlights, such as a display of birds by Wildlife Reserves Singapore and balloon sculpting by the SingTel Recreation Club.

There will also be music performances by school bands, such as St Joseph’s Institution Military Band, Dunman High School Symphonic Band, PayaLebar Methodist Girls’ School Handbell Ensemble, and the NTUC Ukulele Group.

Entry to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents. All other visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $2 per person. Entry to the Istana grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. The nearest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut.

Members of the public are to note that the last entry to the Istana Ground for the Open House will be at 5pm.
