As of Friday noon (10 July), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 191 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
This brings the total number of infection cases to 45,613.
There are 16 cases in the community. Of these, seven are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, while nine others are Work Pass holders.
Based on preliminary investigations, eight of the 16 cases were close contacts of earlier cases, and had already been placed on quarantine.
Epidemiological investigations are ongoing for the other cases.
In addition, there is one imported case who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
MOH shared that the vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in dormitories.
