As of Friday noon (3 July), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 169 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
This brings the total number of infection cases to 44,479.
There are 11 cases in the community. Of these, three are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, while eight others are Work Pass holders.
In addition, there are three imported cases, all of whom had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
MOH shared that the vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in dormitories.
No new cluster is identified.
Update on condition of confirmed cases
340 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 39,769 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
There are currently 223 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 1 is in critical condition in the intensive care unit. 4,461 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
26 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
