Despite Cat A quota bump from 987 to 1,444 (a 46% increase), Cat A COE price actually inched up to $68K (from $67K).

Number of bids for Cat A COE is 2,891, which is the highest since December 2008. The number of bids is twice the quota available. This reflects strong pent-up demand, that has been waiting for COE quotas to go up.

Cat D (motorcycles) COE price is $6,512, which is the second highest on record. (Highest Cat D price on record is $6,801, which occurred in the previous bidding round in April.)

Good news for Cat C (goods vehicles and buses), prices have fallen to the $50K mark. Bad news for those who purchased their Cat C COE two bidding rounds ago ($64K, 8 April) – they could have saved $14K if they have waited one more month.
