As of Sunday (13 December), 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 7 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 58,320.

All new cases today are asymptomatic and were detected from screening and surveillance.

All new cases are imported, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Amongst the 7 imported cases, 1 (Case 58547) is a Singapore Permanent Resident who returned from India. Another 5 are currently employed in Singapore. Of these, 1 (Case 58541) is a Work Pass holder who arrived from India and 4 (Cases 58542, 58543, 58544 and 58545) are Work Permit holders who arrived from the Philippines, Indonesia and India.

The remaining case (Case 58540) is a Dependant’s Pass holder who arrived from Indonesia.

There are no new cases linked to clusters today

Update on condition of confirmed cases

11 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 58,208 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 21 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 62 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

29 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
