A video has been circulating on social media purporting that the food court at 147 Potong Pasir Avenue I was closed due to COVID-19 infections.
The 28-second video was uploaded on Facebook by Swister Lim on Tuesday (14 April) and it showed that the food court of 147 Potong Pasir has been cordoned off.
A man who recorded the video can be heard saying, “This is 147 Potong Pasir’s Food Court. Someone has been infected…”
In the video, it can be seen that all the food stalls were shutdown and the tables are all sealed, while a canvas sheet has been used to cover all around the food court to stop people from entering the premises.
The man then advised the public to not visit this food court, saying, “If not necessary, better don’t come over here, 147 Potong Pasir’s Food Court.”
Meanwhile, the video’s caption stated, “It is not safe to ‘dapao’ food outside now”, appearing to highlight that even food court can pose a risk of transmission. The video which was uploaded on Tuesday has since garnered over 1.8k shares.
On the other hand, the photos as seen by TOC, show that two personnel wearing full set of personal protective equipment (PPE) were at the food court.
Additionally, the two men were also seen wearing N95 face mask and face shield at the food court too.
