There was a minor train delay occurred this late afternoon (20 Dec) along the North South Line (NSL) due to a track fault at Sembawang.

According to information posted on the social media platforms, the delay was caused by a track fault while there was no official statement from SMRT.

A post from Wayne Chew on TATA SMRT Facebook wrote that the track fault covered Woodlands to Yishun, additional 5 minutes traveling time was needed:

Wayne Chew wrote at 5:35pm: “⚠️ North South Line – Track Fault ? Woodlands – Yishun ? Additional 5 minutes travelling time due to track fault at Sembawang.”

Not many posts on social media platforms were recorded from passengers, perhaps because the delay did not took too long and it also happened before the peak hours.

However there were also two commuters who posted information and complains on the NSL delay on Twitter:

No other posts from passengers were recorded on this afternoon NSL minor delay.
