In light of the coronavirus, or now renamed as COVID-19, healthcare professionals have been working around the clock to provide medical assistance to those who are affected by the deadly disease.

To express appreciation towards these dedicated healthcare professionals, Julie Chen, a former healthcare worker had begun a fundraiser to treat medical staff to free cups of coffee from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf outlet in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and the Starbucks outlet in Ng Teng Fong Hospital (NTFH).

Earlier this week, in a Facebook post, Ms Julie Chen provided a summary of the proceeds from the fundraiser for the first two days where 500 cups of free coffee were supplied to the medical staff at TTSH.

The fundraiser campaign which started on Tuesday, was hosted on the Ray of Hope platform, called Operation #BoosterShot. The private medical campaign has now reached its target of raising S$26,091.00 and is closed.

Ms Julie expressed her gratefulness to Singaporeans’ generosity which led to the success of the campaign. She adds that she is proud to be part of a community that is able to work together in times of need.
