GE2025 Results: PAP’s Liang Eng Hwa wins Bukit Panjang SMC with 61.41% of the vote

PAP’s Liang Eng Hwa has won Bukit Panjang SMC in GE2025 with 61.41% of the vote, defeating SDP’s Paul Tambyah, who secured 38.59%.

On 3 May 2025, Bukit Panjang SMC was officially called for the People’s Action Party’s (PAP) Liang Eng Hwa, who secured 61.41 per cent of the votes.

He defeated the Singapore Democratic Party’s (SDP) Paul Tambyah, who garnered 38.59 per cent of the vote.

A total of 31,131 valid votes were cast, with 19,116 going to PAP and 12,015 to SDP.

The electoral boundaries of Bukit Panjang remained unchanged for this election.

As of 1 February 2025, the constituency has 33,566 registered voters, a decrease from 35,437 in 2020.

During the previous General Election in 2020, Liang secured 53.73 per cent of the vote in Bukit Panjang, defeating Tambyah in what became the narrowest victory margin among all SMCs that year.
