Revolv promotes circular economy and reducing single-use waste in a reusable cup-sharing event

In an effort to promote circular economy and reducing single-use waste, revolv is organising a reusable cup-sharing event titled ‘Tiong Bahru Takeover’ during the weekend of 24- 25 August 2019.
For one weekend only, revolv is collaborating with four cafes in Tiong Bahru to enable customers to get their takeaway coffee in a reusable cup instead of generating waste from single-use.
The four Tiong Bahru branches involved in this initiative are Creamier, Forty Hands, Merci Marcel, and Plain Vanilla Bakery.
Besides contributing to the cause of eliminating single-use waste, customers can also benefit from additional discounts at the aforementioned cafes during the course of the event. All the branches are generously offering exclusive $1 discounts for all drinks served in revolv coffee cups.
This marks the first time in Singapore that multiple cafes are collectively taking part in a reusable cup-sharing system across different sites. Additionally, this represents the first stage in revolv’s plans to provide more permanent systems for reuse islandwide.
On both days of the weekend, revolv will be stationed outside the cafes in Tiong Bahru, from 7am to 7pm. Customers can borrow a revolv reusable coffee cup by paying a fully refundable deposit of $8 per cup. Payment is accepted using PayNow or cash.
Made of toughened glass and silicone, the plastic-free reusable coffee cup is not only a healthier and stylish choice for customers to take away their drinks with, but also helps reduce single-use waste.
