COE prices climb across all categories except motorcycles in 18 June bidding exercise

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums increased across most categories on 18 June 2025, with only motorcycle prices seeing a decline. The highest increase was recorded in commercial vehicle premiums, while Category B COEs rose to S$116,670.

SINGAPORE: COE premiums in Singapore rose across all categories except motorcycles in the latest bidding exercise on 18 June 2025.

Category B, used for larger and more powerful cars and electric vehicles (EVs), rose 3.2 per cent to S$116,670 from S$113,000.

Category A premiums, for smaller cars and EVs, increased by 1.2 per cent to S$98,124, up from S$96,999.

These increases mark a reversal from two prior rounds of falling prices.

Open category COEs, mostly used for larger vehicles, climbed to S$116,889. This represents a 2.6 per cent rise from the previous S$113,900.

Commercial vehicle (Category C) COEs saw the highest increase. Premiums rose 4.8 per cent to S$65,000, up from S$62,000.

Motorcycle (Category D) premiums fell 4.4 per cent to S$8,600, down from S$9,000.

In total, 4,207 bids were received across all categories, up 4 per cent from the previous tender on 4 June.

COEs are required for owning and operating vehicles in Singapore and are factored into vehicle prices.
