网民联署抵制个人代步工具 目标收集1万7000人签名提呈总理

上周六晚(21日),发生一宗涉及个人代步工具的不幸车祸:年轻的电动踏板车骑士,疑载着女友超速,结果撞倒一名骑脚车的65岁妇女。至于警方以鲁莽行为造成他人伤害罪,逮捕该骑士。

事件引起坡民激烈反弹,对因事故造成妇女王美英重创感到痛心,亦有网民在网络发起联署活动,收集1万7000人签名,将提呈给陆路交通管理局、总理李显龙和律政部长尚穆根。

有关联署发起人署名Zachary Tan,在有关联署活动更新资讯,他相信国人都希望对个人代步工具的禁令,能在国会重新检讨,在那些受害者的声音被领导们听见、真正发出彻底的禁令前,他不会罢休。

与此同时,他也希望法律裁定,让有关肇事青年承担妇女王美英的医药费,让他们一家能度过难关,同时也起到惩戒作用,让肇事者承担后果和责任。

实际上有关联署是在今年4月就发起,内容提及包括电动踏板车等个人代步工具,因为一些不负责任的使用者而对其他群众造成不便或者受到伤害。

联署声明中指出,近期王美英遭电动踏板车撞倒的个案,绝不是首宗事故,事实上此前已有人被电动脚车骑士撞至脑部受创,以及小孩被撞伤等个案发生。这致使行人走在行人道都要人心惶惶,警惕是否有电动踏板车突然杀出。

故此,联署者希望能发挥群众力量,而把联署人数定在1万7000人,是因为此前有先例,有人发起联署收集得1.6万联署签名,要求禁止瑞典黑暗金属乐队Watain,在我国演出,而最终内政部介入,致使演出取消。

截至今早10时许,联署已达到1万6661人,相信在今日就能达成目标。
