GE2025 Results: Shanmugam’s PAP team strengthens hold on Nee Soon GRC with 73.81% of the vote
PAP’s team, led by Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam, retained Nee Soon GRC with 73.81% of the vote, defeating Red Dot United, which was led by its secretary-general Ravi Philemon.

The refreshed PAP team in Nee Soon GRC secured 73.81% of the vote, marking its fourth consecutive win, defeating new challengers Red Dot United (RDU).
Led by Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam, 66, the five-member slate included four first-time candidates: Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Jackson Lam, Lee Hui Ying, and Goh Hanyan.
The RDU team was helmed by secretary-general Ravi Philemon and featured David Foo, Dr Syed Alwi Ahmad, Pang Heng Chuan, and Sharon Lin.
Nee Soon GRC saw 151,874 registered electors, up by nearly 5,000 since GE2020.
PAP’s vote share rose by nearly 12 percentage points from the 61.90% it secured in 2020 against the Progress Singapore Party (PSP).
Speaking at Yio Chu Kang Stadium, Mr Shanmugam thanked residents for their trust, assuring them that the team’s dedication to putting residents first remains unchanged despite the new faces.
