Former NMP Syed Harun Alhabsyi was seen in Nee Soon GRC on 27 March, his first public appearance since resigning from Parliament. His presence alongside PAP MPs and potential new candidates has fuelled speculation about his political future ahead of the upcoming general election.

SINGAPORE: Former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) Syed Harun Alhabsyi was seen in Nee Soon Group Representation Constituency (GRC) on 27 March, marking his first public appearance since resigning from Parliament. The 39-year-old psychiatrist attended an event at the former Northview Secondary School, which is currently serving as a temporary prayer site while Darul Makmur Mosque undergoes upgrading works. He was accompanied by Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam and other Nee Soon GRC MPs, including Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Carrie Tan, and Derrick Goh. Louis Ng, also a Nee Soon GRC MP, was notably absent from the event.
