GE2025 Results: PAP’s Desmond Choo wins Tampines Changkat SMC with 56.17% of the vote
PAP’s Desmond Choo has won Tampines Changkat SMC with 56.17% of the vote, defeating WP’s Kenneth Foo.
Tampines Changkat SMC has been officially called for the People’s Action Party’s (PAP) Desmond Choo, who secured 56.17 per cent of the votes. He defeated the Workers’ Party’s (WP) Kenneth Foo, who garnered 43.83 per cent of the vote. A total of 22,148 valid votes were cast, with 12,441 going to PAP and 9,707 to WP. Tampines Changkat SMC is one of six new single-seat constituencies created in the latest electoral boundaries review. The ward was carved out from Tampines GRC, which saw significant population growth from new housing developments and demographic changes, according to the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee in March. The new SMC comprises 23,802 voters, including one previously from East Coast GRC.
