NSP and PAP to face off in Tampines GRC
The National Solidarity Party (NSP) will face off with the People’s Action Party (PAP) in Tampines Group Representation Constituency (GRC).
The NSP – which lost to the PAP in the 2011 and 2015 General Elections (GE) – is led by the Party’s president Reno Fong.
“Many voters have stood by us since Tampines GRC was formed in 1988. Because you know NSP will never be afraid to speak up for you,” said Mr Fong in the Nomination Day proceedings at Poi Ching School today (30 June).
Noting that there is a “real” danger of the alternative parties being wiped out in this GE, he urged Singaporeans to “think and consider seriously”.
“Giving the Government a strong mandate is like giving them a blank cheque,” Mr Fong added. “Come Polling Day, please consider giving alternative parties like us a chance. Do the next right thing.”
The NSP team comprises of Mr Fong, Mohd Ridzwan Bin Mohammad, Yeo Ren-Yuan, Choong Hon Heng and Vincent Ng.
They will be up against the PAP team comprising of Masagos Zulkifli – who used to head the Environment and Water Resources Ministry – Koh Poh Koon, Baey Yam Keng, Desmond Choo and Cheng Li Hui.
