Heavy rain with thunder and gusty wind hit Singapore on Monday afternoon

Singapore was hit by a heavy shower in several areas on Monday afternoon (23 Apr).

Netizens tweeted about the heavy rain on Twitter:

And the National Environment Agency (NEA) posted a warning on Twitter at 12:45pm, heavy thundery showers with gusty wind were expected over many areas in Singapore:

At 1:49pm NEA again tweeted that moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty wind were expected to continue over the Northern areas in Singapore:

edmw informed on a tweet that flash flood hit Stevens Road to Balmoral Road:

The Straitstimes also reported flash floods hit at the junction of Gilstead Road and Dunearn Road at about 2pm, both lanes on the road affected, but the flash floods subsided after several minutes.

At 3:20pm NEA tweeted that the heavy rain has ceased:
