SBS Transit has announced at about 7.41 am on Wednesday (3 May) that its DownTown Line (DTL) between Bukit Panjang and Chinatown stations was experiencing a signalling fault and asked commuters to add 10 minutes travelling time.
There was no mention of free bridging bus service being provided for affected commuters.

Commuters who were affected by the delay, raised complaints on the delay and challenged the claim of the transport operator, saying that it more than 50 minutes to travel between seven stations.
Some added that the train stopped for more than 10 minutes on every station. Another said that the train just skipped Botanic Garden MRT Station and only stopped at Stevens MRT Station.
Some also complained that there were no announcements made inside the trains.
It was only at 9.37am, SBS announced that train service will bypass Botanic Garden Station.

Below are some of the feedback made by the commuters affected by the service disruption.
