Fire breaks out at Tampines industrial building, workers and students evacuated
A fire broke out at 18 Tampines Street 92 on 9 May 2025, forcing evacuations of workers and students nearby. The Singapore Civil Defence Force deployed five water jets to battle the blaze.

SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at a two-storey industrial building at 18 Tampines Street 92 on 9 May 2025, prompting evacuations.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted at around 12.50pm.
SCDF’s Facebook post and online videos showed thick black smoke rising from the building.

According to a Google search, two companies are listed at this address: furnishing retailer T.C. Homeplus and bedding store Jean Perry.SG.
Nearby, students from Middleton International School evacuated in large groups via staircases, according to 8 World News.
At 3.08pm, SCDF updated that they were using five water jets, an aerial monitor from a Combined Platform Ladder, and an unmanned firefighting machine.
The fire is under control, but the premises’ structure has been assessed as unstable.
One person from the premises was treated for a minor arm cut by an SCDF paramedic but declined hospitalisation.
