GE2025: PAP narrowly retains Tampines GRC with 52.02% of vote in four-cornered fight
The PAP retained Tampines GRC with 52.02% of the vote, down from 66.41% in 2020. WP made major gains with 47.37%, while NSP and PPP trailed with 0.18% and 0.43%. PAP’s team, led by Masagos Zulkifli, narrowly held off WP’s challenge in a four-cornered contest.

SINGAPORE: On 4 May 2025, Tampines GRC was officially called for the People’s Action Party’s (PAP) five-member team led by Minister for Social and Family Development and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, which secured 52.02% of the votes.
The Workers’ Party (WP) garnered 47.37%, while the National Solidarity Party (NSP) and People’s Power Party (PPP) obtained 0.18% and 0.43% respectively.
PAP received 71,423 votes, WP 65,044 votes, NSP 246 votes, and PPP 596 votes. A total of 137,309 valid votes were cast, with 1,261 rejected ballots.
The PAP slate comprised Masagos Zulkifli, Baey Yam Keng, Charlene Chen, David Neo, and Koh Poh Koon. WP’s team was led by Faisal Manap, along with Michael Thng, Ong Lue Ping, Eileen Chong, and Jimmy Tan.
This result, confirmed by the Elections Department (ELD) after midnight on 4 May, marks a significant drop for PAP from its 2020 result of 66.41% against NSP.
Tampines GRC, a PAP stronghold since its creation in 1988, has mostly featured straight fights between the PAP and opposition parties, except for a walkover in 1997.
