Budget 2025: Singaporean households to receive S$800 in CDC vouchers as part of Budget 2025
All Singaporean households will receive S$800 in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced during the 2025 Budget Statement. The vouchers, disbursed in two tranches, aim to support Singaporeans amid rising costs. Half can be used at supermarkets, and the other half at hawkers and heartland merchants.

All Singaporean households will receive S$800 in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers as part of the government’s efforts to mitigate cost-of-living pressures.
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong announced this measure during the presentation of Singapore's 2025 Budget Statement on 18 February.
The vouchers will be disbursed in two tranches: S$500 in May 2025, followed by the remaining S$300 in January 2026.
The first batch will expire on 31 December 2025, while the second will remain valid until 31 December 2026.
Similar to previous distributions, half of the CDC vouchers can be used at participating supermarkets, while the other half can be spent at heartland merchants and hawkers. This initiative aims to provide direct relief to households while supporting local businesses.
Addressing the continued impact of inflation, Wong acknowledged that while inflation is expected to ease further this year, prices remain high.
“Singaporeans are still adjusting to these new price realities… therefore in this Budget, I will provide additional support for Singaporeans,” he stated.
This will be Wong’s first Budget as prime minister, following his tenure as finance minister, where he led the past three national Budgets.
In a Facebook post ahead of the announcement, he described Budget 2025 as “a Budget for all Singaporeans” and emphasised its role in advancing the Forward Singapore (ForwardSG) initiative, aimed at strengthening social cohesion and economic resilience.
The CDC voucher scheme has been a recurring measure in past Budgets, providing households with financial support for essential expenses.
