StarHub customers faced mobile network disruptions on 29 October, with over 990 reports registered by Downdetector in the morning. Many users complained about connectivity issues, while some experienced home Wi-Fi problems, prompting demands for clarification from StarHub regarding the ongoing service disruptions.
SINGAPORE: Some StarHub customers experienced disruptions to their mobile network on the morning of 29 October 2024, leaving them unable to access the internet.
Outage monitoring site Downdetector registered more than 990 reports at 07:46 am, indicating a significant issue.
Downdetector also recorded outage reports on a separate “StarHub Singapore” page, which peaked at 1,921 disruptions reported at 07:19 am.
Data from both pages indicated that users began experiencing issues as early as 02:00 am on 29 October.
More than 80 per cent of the reports were related to mobile internet connectivity, while the remainder concerned mobile phone network issues or lack of signal.
Comments observed on StarHub’s Facebook page revealed that some users had been experiencing network problems since early this morning, with claims that disruptions began as early as 02:00 am.
Additionally, some users reported issues with their home Wi-Fi, demanding an official explanation from StarHub.
This outage follows a previous incident on the evening of 20 August 2024, when users in many areas across Singapore were unable to access their broadband and TV services for several hours.
