JOHOR, MALAYSIA — A video of a young man being intimate with his girlfriend in a car went viral on social media, eliciting various reactions from netizens.

A 22-second video uploaded on Twitter, shows the couple were caught in the indecent act in a car park at an undisclosed location which appears to be a public car park.

The person who recorded the video and another friend approached the car to get a closer look and found the man sitting in the front passenger seat while his girlfriend, wearing the uniform from the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (PBSM), was “sitting” on his lap.

When asked what they were doing, the driver claimed that the girl was “sick”.

“Just… tint your window darker alright?” the person who recorded the video advised the young driver, while the latter requested him to delete the video.

“@PDRMsia, they committed an indecent act in a public area. Please take action,” another user tagged Malaysia’s police page.

“Oh my God, she’s clearly underage… You don’t have any class, bro.”

In Malaysia, the age of consent is 16 for girls.

According to Malaysia’s Oriental Daily News, Johor State Police Chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat confirmed that a young man was suspected of engaging in inappropriate behavior with an underage girl in a car.

He said the incident took place in Kota Masai, Johor and Sri Alam police are investigating the video.

Mohd Sohaini Bin Ishak, the Sri Alam district police chief, said that the police were currently investigating and trying to identify the individuals involved in the video.

No one has been arrested yet.

“The police will investigate under Section 377D of the Penal Code (committing indecent acts in public). After the arrest of the individuals involved, the police will release a statement to the public,” he said.
