By SINGAPORE — On Friday (28 Oct), the Ho Lee Group took out a full-page advertisement to heartily congratulate its Managing Director Benjamin Tan on being conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by Singapore President Halimah Yacob.
On the government website, it is stated that PBM is awarded to “any person who has rendered commendable public service in Singapore”.
And, indeed, according to the National Day Award list of 2022, Tan was awarded the PBM medal for his involvement in grassroots activities at Tampines GRC. In particular, he is the grassroots patron for the Tampines Changkat Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC).
Meanwhile, according to the website of Ho Lee Group, another director of the company, Michael Tan, was conferred the Public Service Star (BBM) in 2017:
