As of Monday noon (28 Jun), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional nine cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 62,553.

There are four new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, all of whom are linked to previous cases, and have already been placed on quarantine.

“Based on our investigations so far, the cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories,” said MOH.

In addition, there are five new imported cases, who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Of these, two are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).

The Ministry will share further updates in its press release tonight.

According to last night’s press release, there are currently 148 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and four are in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

165 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

36 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
