As of Friday noon (25 Jun), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 20 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 62,513.

There are 15 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection. 12 are linked to previous cases, amongst whom four have already been placed on quarantine, and eight were detected through surveillance.

“The remaining 3 cases are currently unlinked,” said MOH.

“Based on our investigations so far, the cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.”

In addition, there are five new imported cases, who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Of these, four are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).

The Ministry will share further updates in its press release tonight.

According to last night’s press release, there are currently 136 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and four are in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

182 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

35 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
