As of Saturday noon (19 Jun), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 21 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 62,403.

There are 14 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection. 10 are linked to previous cases, amongst whom 7 have already been placed on quarantine, and 3 were detected through surveillance. The remaining 4 cases are currently unlinked.

“Based on our investigations so far, the cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.” said MOH.

In addition, there are seven new imported cases, who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. All of them are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).

The Ministry will share further updates in its press release tonight.

According to last night’s press release, there are currently 152 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and one is in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

209 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

34 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
