老人制娘惹串珠鞋卅余载 何廷儒冀帮衬民间好技艺

曾在芽笼东开了30年小工作坊,一名擅长制作手工娘惹串珠鞋的老人,虽然行动不便,仍每周六日继续开修鞋的小铺子。

盛港集选区议员何廷儒,在本周六(24日)走访社区时,发现这名住在万国一带的老人苏先生。

苏先生坦言目前生意很差,即使行动不便,他还是要每周六天,到113座组屋楼下租的小铺子开档营生。

何廷儒到访时,不巧一名客户刚领走了一双串珠鞋。不过,老人也向何廷儒展示传统串珠鞋的样本。

对此,何廷儒则呼吁民众,可以周二至周日早上9时至5点期间,帮忙光顾老人家。一些网民则呼吁工人党,帮助苏先生宣传他难得的娘惹串珠技艺,这些民间好技艺在现今已凋零、不多见了。
