称会解决外籍人士就业竞争课题 网民要求总统口说不如行动

日前,哈莉玛总统就外籍员工课题作出回应,呼吁我国必须敞开胸怀,接受为我国奉献、改善人民和下一代国人生活的外籍人士。网民在总统致辞后,纷纷要求政府口说不如行动。

总统哈莉玛在第14届国会第一会期的开幕式上发表政府施政方针时,称政府能够理解国人在就业方面,面对外籍人士的竞争,尤其是职业中期的国人,甚为焦虑。因此,当局也会着手解决相关问题。

与此同时,也希望国人能够敞开胸怀,接受外籍人士。尤其是生活在多元种族主义的国家,多元化永远都是国人身份认同的主要元素。

然而,疫情下国人面对失业、裁员,人力部却揭发47雇主招聘员工未公平对待新加坡人;退休银行家踢爆“大型、老牌外籍银行”,倾向雇用外籍人士、排挤新加坡人才,这些事件无不引起坊间哗然。

尽管哈莉玛向人民保证外籍员工课题将会得以解决,但许多网民却不买账。网民纷纷表示口说不如行动。

网友 OT Lee : 这不是焦虑!这是愤怒和失望,因为事情已经远超过想象,但仍然要在我们受伤和权益受损时接受他们(失去工作的痛苦,被撤换的痛苦都是真的!)政府应该要采取行动,收集资料并透明化,呈现事实,而不是将界限模糊,把永久居民称之为当地人,永久居民也是外国居民,而不是本地人!

网友 Ali Yahya Raee : 只有我们看见和感觉到改变,我们才能相信她说的话。10年间一直说要紧缩移民政策,可是却看似无效。时间会改变一切,承诺在成真前都仅是片面之词。

网友 Ales Nicholas:口说不如行动

网友 Goh Beng:不要讲得天花乱坠,说的你好像很在乎。你没有!政府只是在警告这些公司,把它们列入观察名单,但最终还是会通过他们的外国准证的申请。

网友 Tizzy CHap:我们要的是行动,不是告诉我们这对新加坡有多大的好处,尤其是在新加坡人本身都没有足够多的工作机会下。不要再告诉我们要去重新训练,来获得只有2千至3千元的工作。谁在国人面前不公平聘雇,就采取行动严惩,让他们记得他们是在我们的土地上工作。

有些网民也请哈莉玛将她的致辞向人力部转述,而不是告知人民。

网友 Li Meow:哈莉玛总统,这些关于工作的致辞,你应该直接提醒人力部和一些聘雇永久居民的大企业,所有的工作机会应该都要以留给新加坡人为先。

网友  Mun Wei Lim : 如果人力部一直随意将工作准证发给白领,那他们会以更低的价格聘请。这些都应该由人力部和政府部门进行管控!为什么星展银行为本地银行,却宁愿聘雇这么多外籍人士,而放弃本地人。难道星展银行还认为本地人不足以担任银行内的工作吗?我以为我们的大学一直闻名世界。然而,我们确实需要更多外籍人士在建筑和海运上。

部分网友则讽刺称,这些课题一直存在,为何政府才发现

网友Ck Lim:他们真的用了很久才发现这个问题,用了一个大选和疫情,才获得他们的关注,在此之前,所有的声音都仅代表部分人民的心声,称不能以偏概全。总统,你在担任议员时,到底做了什么?不过,总统的声明稿一向由政府负责,她只是负责传递。

网友 Simon Ho :这问题已经存在够久了。如果你真的能做什么你早就做了。是政府不愿意将此问题摆在第一顺位解决。

然而,网友在热烈讨论外籍人士课题时,还有数名网友针对CECA的问题质疑,认为新加坡人并未从CECA中获得任何好处。

网友 Taylor Tan:所以你终于看到问题所在?好的,第一个,解除CECA。

网友 Vijay Anand:你是在跟我开玩笑吗?你去“Mumbai Financial  Centre ”(对Marina Bay Financial Centre的戏称)和Chennai Business Park(对樟宜商业园)逛逛,少有本地人。不要再做像这种对新加坡人毫无意义的协议了。好像我们本地人都很没有才能。我们要参与国民服役两年,我们值得更好的。
