Sembawang GRC has been officially called for People’s Action Party (PAP) with 67.29 per cent of the votes. The PAP team comprises Ong Ye Kung, Lim Wee Kiak, Vikram Nair, Mariam Jaafar and Poh Li San.

They beat National Solidarity Party (NSP)’s team—Spencer Ng Chung Hon, Ivan Yeo Tiong Boon, Sebastian Teo, Yadzeth bin Haris and Sathin s/o Ravindran—which garnered 32.71 per cent of the votes.

A total of 94,068 votes went to PAP while 45,727 went to NSP.

食品业求职者近两千人 逾800企业家供6700就业机会

人力部指出,自今年4月以来,本地800多家食品企业提供了6700个就业、培训和实习机会。 据人力部每周就业情况报告显示,相关企业所提供的就业机会包括有薪金介于2300元到6050元的技术人员、餐饮服务经理、厨师和业务发展经理。 虽然食品业受到冠状病毒19疫情的冲击不均衡,有些食品制造商在疫情前已投入自动化生产工作,至今业务仍能够继续成长。 而截至今年4月至7月期间,透过劳动力发展局计划寻觅食品业领域的求职者超过1800人,且一半以上的求职者都超过40岁。且自4月开始,获得相关领域公司进行面试、实习和见习的求职者有约80人。 另一方面,劳发局为了帮助食品服务业公司转型和培训员工,于今年2月推出该服务业重新设计工作培训计划。 而截至8月底,有近900名来自25家食品服务业的员工在该计划下受惠。 受惠职员中有超过七成是40岁或以上的员工,而这些员工在培训后,他们的工作岗位获得重新安排,或到更高价值的岗位任职,而手工和重复性认为则被科技技术替代。这也增加了员工的工作满意度。
