2030年调高退休重新雇佣年龄 网民抨“国民欢迎论”不真实

领导层看好在2030年调高退休和重新雇佣年龄,并指国民对此也表示无限欢迎,但是事实上是否如此则不得而知,网民的反应更是激烈,完全反对有关领导层的言论,要求他们实事求是。

在8月18日的国庆演说中,李显龙总理宣布将在2030年前,将退休年龄逐步从原有的62岁调高至65岁,重新雇佣年龄也从67岁调高到70岁。

鉴于总理的宣布,《海峡时报》于上周五(8月23日)组织了一个圆桌论坛,探讨与会者的看法。与会者有人力部长杨莉明、新加坡全国职工总会秘书长黄志明、全国雇主联合会(SNEF)会长叶进国以及新加坡国立大学文学暨社会科学院经济系副教授谢妮春。

与会者表示,他们希望在2030年看到 “多代”共事的场所增加,让老者能分享他们的工作经验,而年轻员工能分享他们的创意和精力。

调升退休龄益处多

希望看到更多年长工作者的谢妮春表示,“我希望当我走进药房时,能够看到一名年长工作者。我希望在2030年我国会有更多开明的雇主,人们接受再培训计划,而员工也能适应时代脚步” 。

黄志明:年长雇员反馈积极

黄志明也提到,年长工作者曾向他表示乐见延长工作岁数。“我曾经接触过的员工,尤其是年长者,对我们的发展计划给予几乎一致的积极反馈。”

“他们乐见有机会能够工作更长时间,一方面能让老年生活更积极,另一方面能够储存足够的退休金,而最重要的是在贡献社会上有更多的机会。”

事实上,若职工总会秘书长所言非虚,我们的年长员工都非常无私、愿意牺牲自己的晚年继续工作,只为了能为社会做出建设性贡献。那么新加坡第四代(4G)的领导班子核心人物应该会非常高兴,我国拥有如此自我牺牲的公民。

然而事实上,他说员工们的看法,是指他们等不及在2030年调升退休和重新雇佣年龄。他说他们的看法是:“我们需要等这么久吗?秘书长,10年是一段很长的事件。我们可以早一点实行吗?”

杨莉明对此表示认同。

谢妮春指出,“立国一代将会错过有关的变化,59岁及以下国人则能够在调升退休和重新雇佣年龄中受益” 。

黄志明吁年长者保持伸缩性

当被询及有些公司可能不太愿意接受年长员工时,黄志明表示这可能是有些雇主认为,年龄和学习能力及生产力成正比。“我们只能尽我们所能,确保我们保持健康,并且无论年龄多大都要保持伸缩性。”

“你可能很年轻且完全无法适应,但是你也可以变老,变得灵活且适应性强。不要让年龄捆绑我们。改变我们的态度,采取行动,向雇主证明你能。”

八旬老妇猝死熟食中心

另一方面,有报道指出,新加坡年长者在他们的工作场所死亡,简直是工作到最后一口气为止。

媒体报导不久前一名八十几岁的老妇,何金玉在红山ABC熟食中心的厕所内,猝死在马桶上。

据报道指出,老妇每天早晚工作,日洗200个碗碟,且一周做足七天,一个月只有两天休假。

她的主管随后曾对媒体指出,事发前一天见到老妇走路不稳,且脸色苍白。“我听说她在过去几天一直腹泻。”

如果老妇今天还活着,不是她是否会告诉职工总会秘书长,他真的很高兴能够工作更长时间。

年长者工作只为了生存

对此,网民也质疑与会者,是否清楚年长工作者是基于喜欢还是需要而选择工作。

Luah KH就表示,“如果他们的经济状况允许,谁希望在70岁了还工作” 。

Mei Yin Ng很大部分的网民都认为,年长者必须工作,因为他们面对高生活费的压迫,而公积金又不能全部领出,为了生存别无所择。

指责与会者纸上谈兵

另外,网民对有关的论坛提出抗议,要求与会者提供正确的数据,不要只是纸上谈兵。

Victor Leong表示,“年长者的工作也要看属性,以及他们工作是因为需要或是为了消费时间,这些都要有数据证明”。

Sid Ruhai则指出,到底有多少雇主愿意聘请这些为了生存而不得不工作的年长者。“到目前为止,只有低于5巴仙的年长者有工作。”

他也提到目前的雇主们,更倾向聘请更便宜的外国员工,因为我国推动的政策也是如此。
