Due to a track fault near Yew Tee a short train delay occurred for the commuters along the North South Line on Monday (8 July) late afternoon. SMRT did not inform about this fault on its social media platforms.
On TATA SMRT Facebook platform several posts, some from passengers, informed about the NSL delay:
Nurafian Zulkifli wrote at 5:15pm: “Track fault near Yew Tee. Additional 5 mins of travel time from Jurong East to Kranji (via Train’s PA I’m onboard).”
Zachary Sebastian wrote at 5:44pm: “Confirmed. Very grainy train PA announcement going on now.”
Alan Charles Yap, Admin of TATA SMRT Facebook, wrote at 5:46pm: “Apparently SB trains towards Marina South Pier are travelling slowly at a much reduced speed from Yew Tee towards Kranji. Please factor additional travel time in view of the track fault as posted by our fellow member earlier. This video is taken from the window of my home.”

There was no post on the Twitter platform about this disruption, while SMRT’s last tweet was about a cleared delay on the BPLRT occurred last Saturday (6 July) morning:

There was also no post from passengers on Twitter on this BPLRT disruption, which happened around 10am till 10:37am.
