Due to unavoidable delays in the construction of the new performing arts complex at Funan, WILD RICE has regretfully announced the cancellation of ‘An Actress Prepares’ and ‘Faghag’, the two mainstage shows of its Housewarming Season.
Meanwhile, the Young & Wild showcase ‘Anything Can Happen/Something Must Happen’ will be relocated to Aliwal Arts Centre, and ‘Supervision’ will carry on as scheduled.
WILD Rice assured that all patrons who have already booked tickets for ‘An Actress Prepares’ and ‘Faghag’ will receive full refunds.
Patrons who paid by credit card will receive automatic refunds issued by SISTIC. All tickets will be invalidated, with no other action required from patrons.
Those who paid via cash or NETS can obtain refunds by presenting their tickets at the SISTIC box office at Singapore Post Centre.
“We are very grateful to everyone who booked tickets to these shows in good faith. We are deeply sorry for disappointing you, and for any inconvenience caused,” said Ivan Heng, the Founding Artistic Director of WILD RICE.
“Building Singapore’s first thrust stage theatre has proven to be a highly complex and mammoth undertaking. We seek your understanding that this theatre has to be built without compromising safety, and to the exacting standards that our theatre community and audiences deserve.
“We would not be here today, embarking on our boldest endeavour yet, without your belief and support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and look forward to welcoming you to our theatre, one we can all be proud to call home,” he added.
For further assistance regarding the refunds for the two shows, kindly call the SISTIC Ticketing Hotline at 6348-5555. (Operating hours are from Monday to Saturday: 10am to 8pm; Sunday and Public Holidays: 12pm to 8pm.)
