电视论坛与人民互动 网民对财长回答大不满

新加坡财政部长王瑞杰在星期一(2月18日)发布2019年预算案后,他于星期二(2月19日)出席了一个预算案电视论坛,让民众有机会就预算案内容向部长提问。

长约一小时的论坛中,王瑞杰听取民众提出有关各种主题的问题,例如相关的预算案好似一个大选预算案、立国一代配套(Merdeka Generation Package)如何鼓励保持身心健康活跃的生活,以及新加坡的出生率。其他民众也表达了他们对高昂生活费,以及中产阶级缺乏福利保障一事表示担忧。

超过500留言表达不满

有关的电视论坛在亚洲新闻频道(CNA)脸书上直播。留言区充满了网友向部长提出各种项目的问题,以及他们对王瑞杰的回答表示不满。

在亚洲新闻频道(CNA)脸书直播过程中,共获得超过500个留言,许多人质问公积金的提款年龄。失望的是,有关的问题并没有得到解答,因为并没有现场观众对王瑞杰提问此事。

质疑消费税增加

在发表2019预算案时,王瑞杰表示政府计划在未来数年,将消费税从7巴仙调高至9巴仙。针对这个事项,一位市民提问道,政府是否能吸纳食物等必需品的消费税。王瑞杰回答说:“在我们推出消费税前,我们已经非常仔细地研究过这个项目。最近这个课题再次引起争议后,我又在研究了一遍”。

然而网民对此回答并没有感到很满意,他们质疑消费税的调涨,甚至呼吁废除消费税。

财案没照顾中产阶级

除此之外,有民众表示新加坡的生活费持续增长,他问财政部长,政府是否会采取一些措施,帮助没有被纳入立国一代配套的群体。王瑞杰指出,政府需要保持成本低廉,这是很重要的,而且可以通过很多方式来达到这一目标,例如拥有一个开放和具有竞争力的系统,来自世界各地的进口货物,以及保持一个强壮的经济体。

然而,网民完全不赞同他的回答,并表示并不是所有人都能够承担起高昂的生活费。

高昂生活费影响人民生育意愿

同时,有一名市民问道,政府会采取什么行动,一边鼓励年轻一代多生育。王瑞杰对此表示,政府已经透过提供各种配套,如婴儿花红计划(Baby Bonus Scheme)、儿童培育户头(CDA)以及各种的教育补贴。但是,他也强调,最重要的是,新加坡人民在生育方面,需要改变他们的心态。

惟,网民们觉得高昂的生活费的确影响了他们的生育计划。

列出详细审查

一名脸书用户,Ashtalaxmi Dinakan针对预算案写下了详细的审查,并列出了许多需要关注的领域,如公积金、保护新加坡人的权利、预算案对中产阶级群体缺乏帮助、行业自动化、以及给与低收入群超过一次的救济。虽然他觉得预算案中存有好的项目,但是就整体来说,这份预算案显然是过于匆忙订制,且没有真正解决人民所关注的课题。
