Train delay along EWL due to a faulty train on Friday evening
Another train disruption occurred on Friday evening along the East-West Line caused by a faulty train at Jurong East MRT station.
This incident happened after the train disturbance along the Circle Line this morning; In both cases, there were no official explanation from SMRT.
Commuters posted information of the EWL train delay on social media platforms. On TATA SMRT a post informed that faulty train at Jurong East has caused delays to train service toward Pasir Ris:
John Robert Lee shared a post from Singapore MRT Information Service at 6:03pm he wrote: “FAULTY TRAIN AT JE CAUSING DELAYS TO TRAIN SERVICE TOWARDS PASIR RIS.”
On Twitter commuters also posted information which cited ‘technical fault’ and that trains were unable to stop at Jurong East:

A brief train service disruption also seems to have occurred on the North South Line for a short while due to an activation of the emergency button at Marina Station , according to Damian Han’s posts on TATA SMRT:
Damian Han wrote at 7:18pm: “NS line delayed for awhile as emergency button has been activated at marina station.”
But a short while later he updated:
Damian Han wrote at 7:19pm: “Ok the delay has ended.”
Damian Han wrote at 7:25pm: “Train stopping in between stations periodically.”
SMRT also offered no explanation on this NSL delays incident.
