Train breakdown along EWL on Friday late afternoon

Another train disruption occurred along the East West Line (EWL) at about 5pm on Friday (18 May). According to the tweet by transport operator SMRT, it was caused by a train fault.

Two tweets from commuters were posted at 5:03pm and 5:06pm, urging SMRT to ‘fix your train’ and complaining that the announcement was barely audible:

At 5:10pm SMRT announced the train fault with a tweet, asking for 20 minutes additional travel time from Boon Lay to Queenstown towards Pasir Ris:

At 4:37pm SMRT informed that the fault has been cleared and train service on EWL has resumed:
