Commuters were met with service disruption again this morning (5 Jan) along the East-West Line (EWL), followed by delays on the North-South Line (NSL). No explanation was given by transport operator, Singapore Mass Rapid Transport (SMRT) for the delays experienced by commuters.

A comment from Saurabh Saste on a post at TATA SMRT Facebook at 8:14am informed there was a 15 minutes delay from Newton to Marina South and there was frequent announcements of train congestion ahead:

Terence Kua also posted at 9:19am on the TATA’s FB site that there was a complete stop at Orchard MRT.
