Disruptions and delays along East-West Line: SMRT stays silent
Again commuters had to endure train delays this Tuesday morning (24 October) along the East-West Line (EWL).
At 8:44 Nurul/Izyan tweeted SMRT asking why is the train stuck between Simei and Tampines:

And Ashrina tweeted at 8:45 that she was stuck at Tanah Merah:
Is there a #trainfault on the EW Line? Stuck at Tanah Merah #SMRT

Many other commuters report that other stations along the East-West Line had large crowds, informing the trains they were on have not moved between 15 to 25 minutes.
Some mentioned that the fault experienced is due to signalling fault.
@SMRT_Singapore Green line train has stopped near Expo for more than 15 mins.

At 9:13 SMRT @SMRT_Delays tweeted that EWL is slowly resuming its service:
Okay I believe EWL is slowly resuming its service. Use it at your own risk, there was a signalling fault. SMRT is the best 10/10. kys.

SMRT gave no updates on its official pages, there were only announcement in the trains and stations:

@SMRT_Singapore Train at Tanah Merah MRT towards Tuas Link just moved off after 20 mins. Shouldn't you be providing live updates, real time?

TODAY reported they had approached SMRT for comments, but there’s no news yet.
Some commuters complained they were late for their assignments:
Set off earlier today to reach office slightly early but thanks to #SMRT it seems like I will be late. So one hour is now not enough?!
