Singapore Police Force (SPF) has arrested 53 men and 34 women, aged between 17 and 65, in Geylang for various offences during a six-day multi-agency joint operation that ended on 26 March 2017.
The operation was led by Bedok Division and supported by officers from the Singapore Customs (SC), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), and Health Sciences Authority (HSA). The operation covered the streets and hotels located in Geylang.

According to the Police, eight men and two women were arrested for peddling contraband cigarettes and selling illegal sexual enhancement drugs with the street value of goods seized amounting to about $53,000.
The statement added that another 32 women were arrested for vice-related offences committed in residential units. While 42 men were also arrested for under the Common Gaming Houses Act.
“Investigations against the suspects are ongoing,” the police said.
Commander of Bedok Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Tan Tin Wee expressed his appreciation to all the agencies involved for their strong support, adding that he commended the officers for their professionalism and excellent teamwork which led to a successful operation.
