Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that there was a fire in a shophouse near Mustafa Centre which caused one person to be conveyed toTan Tock Seng Hospital due to smoke inhalation.
SCDF said that it was alerted to a shophouse fire at 11 Lembu Rd, located less than 80m from 24-hour Mustafa Centre, at about 10:35 am and dispatched two Fire Engines, one Red Rhino, two Fire Bikes and an Ambulance to the scene.
It noted that the fire was confined to an attic and burnt through the roof, which was extinguished by SCDF officers with a water jet.

The cause of fire is under investigation.

Mafizul Islam also posted the picture of the incident on his Facebook account, showing the smoke billowing from the rooftop, SCDF officers in their effort to put out the fire, and a Police car blocking the way of the road.
