Meet the canines of SOSD Singapore – they’re all looking for a forever home. Some of them just need a little bit more care to bounce back to full health, but adopting a pet can be an extremely rewarding experience. Plus these doggy portraits just tug at heartstrings.
There’s Oki, who is 5 years old. He’s still in the shelter, and could do with someone to foster him while he looks for a family. He’s cheerful, energetic and eager to please. Just look at that smile!
Then there’s seven-year-old Qian Qian, who needs weekly baths for her yeast infection. She also gets occasional fits, and needs plenty of tender loving care. But she’s sweet and loves tummy rubs.
Six-year-old Maia had been so neglected that she still suffers from tick fever. She’s on Heartguard and iron supplements and needs a good fosterer who can care for her and nurse her back to health.
There’s also Roody, who’s a six-month-old boy. He’s learnt to behave and wait for his food, and is friendly with both people and other dogs. Unfortunately for Roody, black dogs find it harder to get adopted, but just took at friendly little face – how can you say no?
All the dogs mentioned in this article – as well as the rest of the dogs in this Facebook album – are HDB-approved, which means they’re allowed in HDB flats if you meet the criteria listed here. SOSD Singapore has an adoption fee of $565, which covers vaccinations, sterilisations, trainer’s fee and the AVA licence fee.
