A handful of volunteers want to stop the population boom in the Changi Village area (near Blks 9-13 Loyang Avenue) due to a surge in cats being abandoned and dumped there recently. The caregivers who live there are appealing for help as their funds have run dry from sterilising, feeding and caring for the existing community cats, and dealing with the new additions. Thus, to assist in raising the additional funds needed by the volunteers, Hair Zoom Studio is running a fundraising promotion of its services.

Promotion Period: 10 – 18 April from 12:30 to 6 pm daily (except Tuesday)

Venue: Hair Zoom Studio @ Blk 825 Tampines Street 81 #01-68
(the entrance is at the back of the block, facing the carpark)

For questions on the sterilisation drive or hairstyling services, please contact the studio on their Facebook fan page or contact the hairstylist, Edmund, directly at 9753 1346.

CAN’s statement on the assault on Amos Yee

CAN believes that the conditions imposed on Yee are unnecessarily onerous. Apart from having to report to his Investigating Officer every day, he is also barred from posting anything online. This curtailment of Yee’s right to express himself doesn’t just infringe on his constitutional rights as a citizen, it is also disproportionate to the charges he is currently facing.
