As of Sunday noon (8 Nov), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 infection.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 58,056.

There are no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection.

However, there are two new imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Both new cases today are asymptomatic and were detected from screening and surveillance.

There are no new cases linked to existing or new clusters today.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

7 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 57,975 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 33 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 20 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

28 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
