MOH preliminarily confirms 86 new cases of COVID-19 infection; Total tally at 55,747
As of 16 August 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 86 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
This brings the total number of infected cases to 55,747 cases.
According to MOH, the vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders currently under quarantine.
Based on MOH’s investigations so far, there are 2 cases in the community, of whom 1 is a Singaporean and 1 is a Work Pass holder.
In addition, there are 6 imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.
