年初至11月 48起窗户脱落事故!建设、建屋局吁屋主定期检查

建设局与建屋发展局呼吁,若长年失修,可能导致窗户从建筑物上脱落,并提醒业主应半年进行一次维护。

今日当局联合发文表示,今年年初发生的窗户脱落事件是由于年久失修的原因,根据数据显示,截至11月前,已发生共48起窗户脱落事件,与去年49起事件的数据相似。

因此当局呼吁民众应定时检查窗户,一旦发生脱落事件,一经侦查后发现是常年失修的因素,业主将可能会被罚款最高10万元以上,或监禁一年,或两者兼施。

纵观几年,从2015年起就有35起;2016年上升至45起;2017年则达到56起。

建设局表示由于新加坡的建筑环境主要以高层建筑物为主,因此窗户脱落所造成的伤害风险是非常大。

文告也表示,今年48案件中,一半以上的窗户都涉及铝铆钉腐朽,当窗户零件随着时间推移而容易出现磨损情况,使得窗户变得松动,窗户既有脱落的风险。

因此自2004年以来,当局也明文规定要求将所有钉子换成不锈钢钉,若违法者,将可能被判入狱6个月,罚款最高5000元,或两者兼施。

此外,当局表示,滑动窗户也相对有风险。针对滑动窗户,经常因缺乏塞子或倾斜的角度,经常因业主打开或关闭窗户时,施加过多力道,导致窗口无法固定而脱落。

因此,当局建议业主应在每半年检查窗户零件,并定时为窗户加润滑油,必要时请于承包商联系修理,更换零件。

自2006年以来,已有352人因此被罚款,92人被起诉。
