海豚疑压力过大撞墙 圣淘沙名胜世界海洋馆称不知情

圣淘沙名胜世界海洋馆海豚疑压力过大撞墙,圣淘沙名胜世界表示对海豚撞墙事件不知情。

日前,国际反鲸豚表演和圈养组织Empty the Tanks于12月1日上传一段视频,视频内显示海豚不断用头部撞向水池的墙上,被指可能是压力过大出现自残行为。

Empty The  Tanks 解释,该视频是由网友发给他们,海豚用头部用力的撞向墙边九次之多,行为异乎寻常。视频已获得至少2000次转发,以及1000多次的留言,引起了网民的关注。

《海峡时报》报道,国家公园管理局动物与兽医事务组负责人指出,动物与兽医事务组向来对企业的资格采取严格的标准,为保动物的健康与福利,而且周四到场观察海豚的状况与设施,并没有发现任何异常。

设在美国的Empty the Tanks创始人瑞秋(Rachel Cabary)表示,他们向社交媒体上分享视频旨在引起人们对圈养动物的关注

4月份,世界动物保护协会发布《圈养海洋哺乳动物福利问题研究》,报告显示,无论是从野外被捕获或人工繁育而来的,海洋哺乳动物被人工圈养,从捕获、运输到终生被囚禁在狭小的环境中,每个环节都给海洋哺乳动物带来巨大的痛苦。

报告续指,在海洋中,鲸豚每天可游走60至225千米,速度达每小时30至50千米,并可潜至数百米的大海深处。

因此,在没有任何场所能提供海洋般广阔的环境供它们畅游。即便是最大的场所,其空间也不到其自然栖息范围的0.0001%(百万分之一),而动物生理和心理也会产生诸多不良影响,如溃疡、徘徊和自残等刻板行为及异常攻击行为。

不仅仅是圣淘沙名胜世界海洋馆出现这样的情况,世界各地的海洋馆都曾出现海豚自残的现象。 香港著名海洋公园内的海豚Pinky也把身体用力撞向水池边的情况。

据国际性鲸类及海豚保育机构表示,Pinky 的行为其实并不罕见,因为被圈养的海豚经常会因为压力而生病,甚至为做出自残行为,但海洋公园则称,Pinky的行为纯属“正常”,是为了引起训练员的注意。

除了海豚以外,身形庞大的鲸鱼也常被圈养其中,因此经常出现压力过大而行为异常。为杜绝圈养行为,全球最大旅游平台TripAdvisor 决定停售任何有关人工繁殖或圈养鲸鱼海豚的游乐设施门票,希望改变这种不人道的手法。

加拿大也通过法案禁止圈养和繁殖鲸鱼、海豚等鲸目动物,进出口这类动物亦属违法,违者最高可被罚款20万加元(约117万港元),现时在主题乐园内的鲸豚类动物则可继续圈养,但不能繁殖。
